Portzvue Villa exceeded expectations in every respect. We were a group of 3 Canadian couples visiting Barbados for the 1st time and, while Speightstown may seem a little out of the way, it was perfect. Five-minute walk to a fabulous beach and another ten to shopping, restaurants, and center of town. The villa is extremely comfortable, clean, well equipped, and well managed (thank you, Sonia). The pool was SUCH a bonus – lighted for evening swims and immaculately clean. We rented a vehicle, but next time we will rely on public transit … it was easy and reliable. Finally, the locals were warm and welcoming … wonderful folks. Very highly recommended accommodations for Barbados … truly fabulous.

Situated close to Barbados platinum West Coast in the parish of St Peters, nestled between the calm Caribbean Sea and the luxury resorts of Port St Charles. Portz Vue is a recently built luxury, three bedrooms four bathroom private villa with pool and jacuzzi spa.
The villa location is just a short stroll from the golden sand beach at Port St Charles and Almond Beach Resort and within walking distance of Speightstown where major supermarkets, shopping, bars, and restaurants are located. If you prefer not to walk a cheap and reliable bus service operates, or taxis and car hire are both available locally which will happily transport to the nearby Holetown or the capital Bridgetown.
The Villa is fully air-conditioned and will comfortably sleep up to 6 people, all bedrooms have en suites and modern, quiet, split air conditioning systems. The spacious Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with balcony with sea views. Upstairs is a fully open plan lounge kitchen and dining area, with a balcony with fantastic sea views, allowing the gentle trade winds to blow cool breezes throughout the spacious living areas along with spectacular evening sunsets.
Even when you are in the kitchen you still have the spectacular view of Port St Charles marina. The 30′ x 21′ living room is equipped with Cable TV, DVD Player, & a Stereo Hi-Fi with I-Pod Dock and opens onto the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, wine cooler, coffee maker and all the usual cooking utensils. The laundry room has an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer both of which are available for your use when required. Beyond the rear patio area is a 35′ x 16′ swimming pool, which is 8ft at its deepest, and has decking all around to provide plenty of sunbathing areas.

Fabulous -
Fantastic home
We have just returned from our stay in this villa, it is very spacious and the pool is larger than other villas we have stayed in before, although very deep in the deep end. As we traveled with a teenager, 8-year-old and 4 years old, we cooked at home most nights for our convenience. We found the upstairs extremely hot as there is no air conditioning on the top floor, this did make cooking very challenging, to say the least, also, which we found very unusual, there were no instructions on how to work the oven, dishwasher, washing machine or tumble dryer, so we had to work it out by trial and error. As there is no guest book at the property either, we couldn’t find out local information easily on the location of supermarkets and local restaurants, with good reviews, etc, this we have found invaluable in past villa rentals and it took us several days of traveling to Massey stores in Warrens to find out there was a smaller one in Holetown. Also, there was no information on rubbish collection ( which for the record is on a Monday) we heard the truck outside too late to empty the bin, so after 11 nights the blue bin outside was extremely full and overflowing. There was no information as to recycling so we had no choice but to bin everything. Having said this we had a fantastic time and would return to the villa again, it served our purpose extremely well and we hope to return, better informed next year.

Was sad to leave
Generally, the service I received was great. The housekeeper was however difficult to get in contact with at times. The owner was a short phone call away and was always friendly and helpful. Pamela was quite nice and helpful, as well as the yard maintenance guy.
The property met my expectations. I had a very comfortable stay.
The location was great and the amenities met my needs. The kitchen was well-appointed, thus meal preparation was as if I was at home. The location allowed for the viewing of stunning daily sunsets and quirky visits by monkeys and persistent sparrows.
The pool and jacuzzi were great. It would have been better however if the jacuzzi was heated. We spent many evenings grilling and having drinks by the pool.
Being able to comfortably entertain was the best feature for me. I felt like I was welcoming my friends and family into my home. I was very pleased that the property and amenities were as advertised. You can believe EVERYTHING on the website. My least favorite feature was climbing the stairs. Once to the top, it was worth it. But boy was that a trek. Having to go downstairs to unlock the gate for visiting guests, and then climb all the way back to the top, was certainly a workout.

Breathtaking
The place was amazing, everything you could possibly think of was there at hand. The villa was only a walkway from the beach & Speightstown. Very quiet & relaxing, with a refreshing pool for if you got too hot. Tv entertainment was also available, plus stereo & wifi. I would defiantly stay again as I had a wonderful time & would recommend anyone traveling to Barbados to stay 🙂

Perfect villa for family and friends
The villa was amazing, with plenty of space and well furnished in a modern style. Perfect for entertaining my family with
barb q, large pool, and jacuzzi.
It’s a 5-minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to Speightstown.
The monkeys behind the house were entertaining with a visit each morning and evening.
The housekeeper was especially helpful and arranged lol the food for our family get-together. Nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful stay..!!
